Operant Lab Data System At Wayne State (OLDSAWS)OLDSAWS is a complete computerized laboratory for running operant psychology experiments with human volunteers.Like our OBPL Director software, nearly everything in the presentation of the tasks is flexible. Modifiable items include the duration of the schedule (by time or by reinforcer limit), instructions, delays before and after tasks, button labels and scoring. This flexibility is built in because OLDSAWS reads the details of how every task is presented from tab-delimited text parameter files that are easily edited or created using the Parmsheet Utility. A parameter file also controls the conduct of sessions. Therefore, changing the sequencing of questionnaires or the flow sheet of a study session is also easily accomplished, and without additional programming. Schedules of Reinforcement available:

OLDSAWS was developed in National Instruments' LabVIEW 'G'. The Parmsheet Utility was written in Microsoft Visual BASIC. |
